The Fulbright Commission to Belgium and Luxembourg is proud to announce the list of the 2015-2016 Belgian and Luxembourg Fulbright Grantees who will study, research, or lecture in the United States. During the upcoming academic year, they will study and do research in 15 different U.S. states. Among the recipients of a Fulbright scholarship are 15 Belgian students, 2 Luxembourgish students, and 10 Belgian scholars. The 10 research scholars and 15 graduate students were selected from the following Belgian and Luxembourgian institutes of higher education: Université Libre de Bruxelles, Ghent University, Université Catholique de Louvain, University of Leuven (KU LEuven), University of Liège, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Antwerp, Saint-Louis University – Brussels, Hasselt University and University of Namur. Other home institutions of Fulbright students include the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Ecole Normale Superieure and the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID). In addition, two people were selected as Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants (FLTA): one will teach Dutch, the other French in the U.S. during the 2015-2016 academic year.
We are also pleased to announce that this year 2 Belgian teachers will attend the Summer Institute on U.S. Institutions and that 1 Belgian student will go to the U.S. Summer Institute on Environmental Studies.

The Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States of America, Belgium amd Luxembourg administers several prestigious Fulbright scholarship programs for citizens of the aforementioned countries. Fulbright grants are available for graduate study as well as pre-doctoral and post-doctoral research or university lecturing.
The Commission also administers the prestigious Fulbright-Schuman Program in European Affairs, which is co-financed by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission and the U.S. Department of State. This program allows for American professors and advanced graduate students to travel to EU Member States for study and research on topics relating to EU Affairs and/or EU-U.S. Relations. Academics, professionals, and policy makers from the EU may pursue similar courses of study at American universities and colleges. For academic year 2015-2016, 13 Fulbright Schuman grants for EU citizens and 8 grants for US citizens were announced.
