This spring, the Fulbright Commission in Brussels welcomed two sets of visitors from the Institute of International Education.

In May, the Fulbright Commission welcomed Program Officer Lauren Smith. Since joining IIE in 2016, Lauren has served in several roles – including, for the past year – as a Fulbright Scholar Program Officer for Europe and Eurasia. In this role, Lauren supports the American Fulbright grantees who travel to lecture and conduct research in Belgium, Luxembourg, and across the European Union. During her visit, Lauren met with Fulbright Commission staff, including Fulbright U.S. Program Officer Marie-Aimée Ntawukulityayo, and EducationUSA REAC Peter Baker.
