College Board
This site offers a free search of the profiles that are compiled in the
College Board's annual college survey. It also has a database of
scholarship sources and information on deadlines for the SAT, which the
College Board administers.
CollegeNET
Affiliated with International Business Machines Corporation, CollegeNET
designs on-line applications and other admissions software for colleges.
Its site includes a searchable database of statistics on more than 4600
colleges. The statistics are based on information purchased from
Wintergreen/Orchard House, a national company that also produces
CollegeEdge. This site also offers a database called MACH25, which
contains deadline information on scholarships and addresses of where to
apply for them.
Hobsons U.S.A

Peterson's section on undergraduate study provides a searchable database
of its printed directory of colleges. The company also produces on-line
applications, Web-based brochures, and virtual tours for colleges. A
unique service, "Open Choices", provides a list of colleges that
maintain open enrollments or that may still have slots for incoming
freshmen this fall.
