Join us for a 45-minute Relax & Release Relaxation Training!
Stress is our body’s natural way of responding to any threat or demand we experience in our lives. When left unchecked, stress affects not only our mental state, but can contribute to various health problems such as high blood pressure, breathing problems, etc. Time to Relax! Even though it is normal to feel overwhelmed by stressful events, there are easy and practical exercises you can use in your daily life to cope in a more efficient way. During this workshop we will explain and practice 3 kinds of exercises: Gentle Yoga stretches to relax your body, a breathing exercise to unwind your mind and a relaxation exercise to completely settle down. This workshop is free of charge and accessible to everyone who feels it is time to take a breath. You can join the session from anywhere you want and will need a (yoga) mat, small pillow and a blanket.
The workshop will be guided by Pieter Van Bocxlaer who served as a Fulbright FLTA at Gettysburg College during the academic year 2009-2010. Pieter has always been passionate about health and has been working as an enthusiastic sports coach for over 15 years. 4 years ago he decided to fully apply himself to studying the stress concept by pursuing an extra degree in Psychology at KU Leuven in addition to various (Vipassana) meditation, yoga and breathwork training around the word. He is a certified yoga and BodyBalance teacher and guides regular workshops on stress management, relaxation and breath training in various organizations.
