About us

In 1948, the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States, Belgium, and Luxembourg was established with the goal of increasing mutual understanding through academic exchange between citizens of Belgium and Luxembourg and citizens of the United States. Over the past decades, the Fulbright Commission in Brussels has facilitated the academic exchange of thousands of students, researchers, teaching assistants, and professors between the USA, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Today, the Fulbright Commission in Brussels awards scholarships to Belgian and Luxembourgish citizens for graduate studies, doctoral and post-doctoral research, and lecturing in the United States as well as scholarships to U.S. citizens for study and research in Belgium and Luxembourg.
