The Fulbright Commission in Brussels is delighted to announce our new Foreign Fulbright Program Officer and EducationUSA Adviser, Mr. Sonny Willems.
Sonny comes to the Fulbright Commission with several years of experience on both sides of the Atlantic, including prior work in New York and Los Angeles. After graduating in 2013 with a degree in IT Management & Multimedia from Thomas More College in Mechelen, Sonny completed an internship at the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, where he was responsible for designing and developing a new website and back-office system for the Chamber. After his internship, Sonny joined BelCham as a full-time Project Manager, responsible for marketing, daily operations, and office management. After having worked in the United States for several years, he returned to Belgium in 2017 to continue his studies at KU Leuven in a program for Organizational Psychology.
