The Université Du Luxembourg hosted the 3rd annual Transatlantic Dialogue on June 4th- 6th at Neumünster Abbey Luxembourg; which was diligently coordinated by François Carbon, the Chargé de mission culture. The theme of the dialogue was “Connecting through Culture ‘A Vision for Global Citizenship.'” Ms. Erica Lutes, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the EU participated in various events with her colleagues Hannah Falvey and Katya Korotaeva. The various activities included a Cultural Soirée ‘Pure Bluegrass,’ a multilingual reading, and a presentation on ‘Institutionalizing a Culture of Learning’ by Prof. Dr. Adelheid Hu Multilingualism, intercult. Competence, University of Luxembourg and Prof. Dr. Kathleen Manning, Higher Education Stud. Aff. Grad. Program, University of Vermont. In addition, Lutes co-presented with Dr. Wim Coudenys, Lect. Russian & European History & Culture and Academic coordinator international relations Faculty of Arts Katholiek Universiteit Leuven on Academic Mobility, specifically within the Fulbright and Erasmus plus programs. Furthermore, during the panel discussion U.S. Embassy Luxembourg representative Mrs. Stephanie Shaheen contributed her expertise as a practisoner, professor, and U.S. government employee.
